We’re here in Singapore and it’s 29 degrees at 10pm! About 20 of us have just been for a swim at the airport hotel. No incidents so far and we’re hoping for a hassle free flight through to Istanbul via Dubai. We’re boarding in about 10 mins so I better head off. – Matt D

Important Things to Remember

22 June, 2007

From the Staff:

Important things to remember are…
·          Be at the airport by 9:30am at the very latest
·          Gather at the southern end of the Air NZ part of the building (check in counters).  They’ll hopefully be opening a couple of counters just for us.
·          Bring your passport
·          You need to have your trip booklet in your red “Stout Street Chambers” bag.  The front cover needs to be filled in.
·          Have your yellow piece of fabric attached to the handle of your suitcase
·          Have your togs in your hand luggage for a swim in Singapore (no towel needed)
·          Wear your travel uniform – National Bank shirt (plus College track pants or similar)
·          Fill out the departure card, which is in your united travel wallet
·          Make sure that you’ve got a photocopy of your passport.
·          Use the labels in the united travel wallet to label your suitcase both on the inside and the outside.
·          Put a pair of shorts and sandals/jandals at the top of your suitcase, for easy access once we arrive in Istanbul.
·          Lock your suitcase.
·          Use the small plastic bag in the united travel wallet for your deodorant (or any other toiletries you want in your hand luggage).  You aren’t allowed any liquids outside of what can fit into this little bag.
·          Sit in the seat you have been allocated
·          When we get to Auckland, we need to move very quickly to the international terminal.  Please follow instructions from staff very immediately and move quickly.
